Description of Messages

Self-Study Lab sends automated text messages to provide participants with reminders, prompts, and informational updates related to participation in the Self-Study Lab program.

Messages may include, but are not limited to:

  • Program reminders

  • Educational prompts

  • App or content updates

  • Participation-related notifications

How Users Opt In

Users opt in to receive SMS messages during the Self-Study Lab onboarding process through a web-based registration form.

During registration, users are presented with a required, unchecked checkbox that states:

“I agree to receive automated text message reminders and updates related to the Self-Study Lab. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.”

Users cannot submit the registration form unless this checkbox is selected.

Consent is not obtained through purchase alone. Consent is collected only through this explicit opt-in field.

Message Frequency

Users may receive up to 2 messages per day, depending on participation (up to 14 messages per week)

Opt-Out Instructions

Users may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.

Once a STOP request is received, no further messages will be sent.
