The Two Problems Shaping Most Modern Lives
Why this System Exists
After years of my own healing and thousands of hours as a therapist, I kept seeing the same pattern: people gain insight, but struggle to integrate it into daily life.
Therapy is invaluable — I deeply believe in it. But it happens once a week, while life happens every day. There’s limited time for deep psychoeducation, no built-in accountability during the week, and no community to support the practice that real change requires.
I saw it in session after session: clients were doing the work — but they needed support I couldn’t give them inside the traditional therapy container. They needed a way to carry the work into the in-between — where most of life happens.
Our brains are wired for efficiency and autopilot, so even the best insights fade without reminders, structure, and repetition.
If you’re already doing therapeutic work, the Self-Study Lab deepens it. If you’re not, it gives you the structure, guidance, and daily practice most people never receive in therapy at all.
The Integration Gap
This Might Be You
High-functioning on the outside, dysregulated on the inside
Insightful and self-aware, but stuck in repeating patterns
Living with persistent anxiety that makes everything feel harder
Knowing what to do, but struggling to follow through
Performing well while battling anxiety, shutdown, or overthinking
Trying to break relational patterns like people-pleasing or avoidance
Wanting daily structure, not just occasional insight
You’re not broken — you’re operating without a system.
A System for Real Change
The Self-Study Lab gives you daily structure, deep support, and a proven process — without needing to book weekly calls or rearrange your life.
Founding Members get the highest level of support I’ll ever offer in this system — including direct access to me. You can ask questions anytime inside the Lab, and I personally respond during the founding phase. You’ll also be invited to monthly live Q&A sessions where we dig deeper into the work, refine your process, and get real-time support together.
You can use it on your phone or computer for ease — but it’s not an app in the traditional sense. It’s a behavioral system that weaves together self-awareness, nervous-system literacy, tiny experiments, and practical tools you use in real time.
It works less like software, and more like your personal operating system — something you return to throughout the day to stay regulated, connected, and on track with what matters most.
What Real Thriving Requires:
The Nervous System — Where Thriving Begins
The truth is, you can only thrive at the level your nervous system allows.
Every practice, habit, or intervention that’s ever helped you — from therapy to exercise to meditation — has worked because it supported your nervous system.
Our systems were built for purposeful contribution, movement, rest, and connection with nature — conditions our modern lives rarely provide. Recognizing this helped me connect the dots and create a framework that meets our most fundamental needs — the ingredients that make thriving possible.
The Nervous System — Where Thriving Begins
The Self Study Lab
A structured, psychologically grounded method to help you truly understand yourself and build the life your system needs.
Part self-study, part nervous-system literacy, part pattern mapping, and part behavior design — all built into a daily, doable rhythm.
start with awareness and intention — everything begins with paying attention on purpose
understand the forces shaping your behavior — how your brain and nervous system work
observe your patterns with curiosity
run small, meaningful experiments
learn what your system really needs
build daily practices that support growth
create structures that help you thrive

EARLY MEMBER BENEFIT
Founder Access: Direct Support
During the founder phase, you’ll have direct access to me inside the Self-Study Lab. You can ask questions anytime, and I personally respond to every one.
This won’t be available forever — but early members get the highest level of support as we build this together.
Founding member pricing reflects this early, high-support phase and will increase as the System grows.
This is a place to be thoughtful, observant, supported, and intentional — every day.
Common Patterns This Supports
Disconnection from needs and emotions
Stress cycles and emotional overwhelm
Difficulty sustaining habits
Boundary challenges
Relationship loops you can’t seem to break
Emotional highs and lows
Avoidance, overthinking, or shutdown
Feeling stuck without a clear path forward
These aren’t flaws — they’re understandable patterns your nervous system has learned over time.
What to expect in your first 30 days…
You’ll start with simple 2-minute morning and evening check-ins — and these continue indefinitely because they’re doing real neurological work. Morning check-ins prime your brain’s predictive networks, shaping what you notice and how you respond throughout the day. Evening check-ins help consolidate learning, close stress cycles, and strengthen the neural pathways you’re trying to build.
With those daily anchors in place, you’ll begin noticing your patterns sooner, try a few tiny experiments, and eventually create simple SOPs (Standard Operating Principles) that support clearer, more regulated responses over time.
A realistic example of how the Self Study Lab fits into your life in the first month.
Practice, Not Perfection
The principles are universal, but the ingredients are personal.
Thriving requires curiosity and intention — a willingness to experiment and a commitment to stay with your own unfolding.
This work isn’t about perfection; it’s about staying in relationship with yourself.
Become a Founding Member
The Self Study System opens January 22nd — where resolutions fade, and real change begins.
I’m taking the rest of this year to refine the experience, record the lessons, and build the tools that will help you stay regulated, consistent, and intentional.
Because I want the first group to feel held and well-supported, I’m limiting the founding cohort to about 20–30 people.
If you already know you want to be part of the first group, you can reserve your spot now.
If you’d rather wait, you can join the early access list — just know that the list does not guarantee a spot, but you’ll be first to hear when enrollment opens.
Founding Member Benefits
The highest level of direct support from me
Private message portal to ask questions and get support (response time ~48 hours)
(This level of access is not available after Jan 2026.)
Monthly live Q&A sessions
Bring questions, refine your process, and get real support in real time.
Direct influence on what gets built next
Your experience helps shape the lessons, tools, and features that come next.
Behind-the-scenes updates
See how the System is evolving and get early previews of new material.
A smaller, more connected early community
The founding group will stay intentionally intimate (around 20–30 people).
Early pricing locked in for life
Your $99/month rate never changes, even as the System grows and expands.
Why the Value is So High
Therapy is powerful, but it happens once a week. Life, patterns, and dysregulation happen every day.
The Self Study System gives you the structure, reminders, and support most people never receive in therapy — helping you actually integrate what you’re learning into daily life.
It’s not therapy, but it offers grounded, daily support that’s far more affordable than weekly sessions.
Pricing will go up for later cohorts as more lessons and tools are added.

FAQs
-
It’s a guided, structured system designed to help you understand your patterns, regulate your nervous system, and create sustainable change. It’s not a passive app — it’s a daily framework that brings intention, awareness, and support into your real life.
-
No.
The Self Study System is not therapy and isn’t meant to replace it.
Therapy focuses on healing and processing deeper emotional layers.
The System gives you the daily structure most people don’t get in therapy — helping you integrate insights, stay aware of your patterns, and shift your habits in real time.
Many people will use the System alongside therapy, and find the two complement each other beautifully.
-
Traditional therapy typically costs $120–$250 per session, and you meet once a week.
That support is incredibly valuable — but it’s not designed to follow you into the moments when patterns, overwhelm, and nervous-system activation actually show up.
The Self Study System gives you:
daily practices that take under 10 minutes
a clear structure to help you stay intentional
nervous-system tools you can use in real moments, not just in session
ongoing support instead of once-a-week insight
It’s not therapy, but it fills the biggest gap most people experience in therapy: the between-session space where real change happens.
For a fraction of the cost of weekly therapy, you get grounded, consistent support that helps you integrate what you’re learning and shift your patterns in your real life.
-
Most practices take under 10 minutes a day.
The System is designed for busy, thoughtful people — and you can go deeper when you have the capacity.
At the same time, more engagement leads to greater clarity and change.

Founding members get access for $99/month, locked in for life.
As more lessons, tools, and features are added, pricing will increase for future cohorts.

The System stands on its own as a structured, supportive guide for daily awareness, emotional regulation, and nervous-system health.
If you are in therapy, it will help deepen and integrate the work you’re already doing.
-
No. The System is built around small, doable practices, not overwhelm.
Think of it as the opposite of a big commitment: gentle daily structure, short lessons, and tools that meet you where you already are.

If you choose to cancel, you’ll keep your locked-in founder rate if you ever return.

What people have to say…
As a person attempting to figure out who I am and thinks we should arrive into life with an owner’s manual, I have tried multiple modalities over my lifetime to make sense of my behavior and actions. Some spot on and some not so helpful. The beauty of the workshop “From Reactive to Responsive” is it makes sense of the mind-body connection. Providing information on neurological responses and tools to identify and mitigate reactions. Micah’s experience as a teacher and counselor provides a comprehensive guide for self-care. The Nervous System Guide is an impressive tool to continue the work beyond the workshop. This is NOT an AI generated review, and all comments are my own.
- C.R. Mintun October 2025 Workshop.
Working with Micah has been such a valuable experience, he guided us through understanding the nervous system and its role in our emotional and physical health. He created a safe, insightful space that helped me connect more deeply with my body and recognize how to regulate my own nervous system with more ease and awareness.
-A.D. October 2025 Workshop
The nervous system class with Micah was GREAT! I was finally able to tackle some things that have been bugging me for a long time. We hear so much about the nervous system and our vagus nerve and all that. But what should we do with that, other than randomly try an exercise from a video on social media? So it was so cool to see myself finally get some concrete guidance about how to apply it to my everyday life and make improvements.
-J.N. October 2025 Workshop
Micah taught my Systemic Perspectives on Human Sexuality in Counseling course in grad school, and from the very first day I felt at ease in his presence. I loved the way he used his humor and openness to facilitate a safe environment for the class to take risks, to be vulnerable, and to not-know. He demonstrated a good deal of competence around the subject, while also being willing to share anecdotes from his own personal life and development around sexuality in ways that set the tone for the rest of us to show up honestly. His example gave us permission to not take ourselves too seriously, and to embrace a beginner's mindset on the subject. I highly recommend him!

I’ve worked with Micah for years. He was my teacher, then a mentor, and is now a colleague who I look up to for help on my most challenging cases. Micah has a distinct talent for boiling down vast amounts of information into a set of cohesive, organized and actionable principles. He’s somehow able to do this with a sense of humor and ease. Class with Micah is both personally transformative and a whole lot of fun.

The most recent Five-Week Nervous System Workshop just finished — and it was incredible to watch participants reconnect with their bodies and capacity.

Hi, I’m Micah Freeman.
I’m a coach with 18 years of experience as a teacher, 8+ years as a therapist, and a background in nervous system-informed, emotionally grounded work. I hold master’s degrees in both Counseling and Teaching, and I help people unlearn patterns that no longer serve them and create lives that feel aligned, honest, and deeply human.
